About the Job: objectives of this Role • Support the wider sales team to win customers through advice, expertise, and proposals by combining deep technical knowledge with business-to-business sales skills • Deliver best-in-class customer experience by providing fast, high-quality assistance to customers throughout the sales process Responsibilities: • Conduct targeted research into industries/accounts of interest and make well-supported recommendations to the wider sales team in order to maximize resource utilization and increase pipeline performance; • Provide clear technical pre-sales assistance and solution/product fit to evaluate new customers as part of the wider sales team throughout the prospecting process; • Gather and analyze relevant customer/project data from internal and external stakeholders through qualification documents, site surveys, and feasibility analyses to ensure solution design is appropriate and transformative; • Synthesize winning solutions by combining a deep technical understanding with a well-informed view of customer use cases to create comprehensive solution proposals, presentations, and technical documents; • Perform in-depth data analysis by carrying out extensive process simulation and financial calculations as part of the solution design process; • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions as part of the wider sales team to satisfy customer and company priorities; • Take responsibility for meeting time-bound sales targets as part of the wider sales team; • Cultivate deep, long-term relationships with customers through empathy, outcome detachment, and a drive to exceed customer expectations; • Track, analyze, and report back team performance throughout the pipeline process and find and suggest opportunities for improvement; • Provide comprehensive training and create supporting materials to Onboard new staff as ForwardX’s Japan team grows; • Participate in the planning, set-up, and execution of sales & marketing events that require technical expertise, such as showroom demonstrations, exhibitions, seminars, and customer demos, when necessary. About You: Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required in mechanical engineering, logistics engineering, or an automation-related field • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin Chinese would also be a plus • 3 years of experience in warehouse solution design or logistics process engineering; experience with automated logistics equipment, such as AGVs, SLAM-based robots, conveyors, or AS/RS preferred; experience with warehouse software systems, such as WMS, WES, WCS, and OMS, preferred; • Proficient in the following; Microsoft Office, CAD software, such a SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo/Pro/E, and/or 3DS Max • Strong in data analysis, process design, and warehouse layout design; Values required: • Systematic – You prefer to work within a structured process or environment and, therefore, strive to establish and develop systems for your work and the work of those around you • Entrepreneurial You are always looking for ways to solve problems and appreciate that it is up to us to go out and make things happen; • Detail-oriented You understand that the difference between something good and something great is attention to detail; • Inquisitive You are not afraid of doing things you’ve never done before because you inquire, independently research, and ask questions; • Accountable You take responsibility for the outcome of your team and understand your contribution plays a large part in the overall result; • Motivated You are able to self-motivate and motivate those around you to meet the high expectations you set for yourself and others; • Composed You are experienced in and excel when working to time-bound targets and actively seek to meet and exceed the targets set.
